Amanda Muse is a Los Angeles-based composer, known for her vibrant, energetic blend of lush orchestration with rich classical harmonies and powerful rhythms informed by her extensive background as an internationally-recognized percussionist. Her portfolio includes work for industry giants such as Universal Music, Disney, the United States Military, and Riot Games.
She has scored critically acclaimed films, including JOURNALISM 101, which won "Best TV Pilot" at the 2022 Top Shorts Film Festival, and star-studded thriller, LONG PORK, starring Lena Headey (GAME OF THRONES). Her music has been played by bands and orchestras across the globe, including the U.S. Army's West Point Band and Glasgow's Scottish Session Orchestra.
With a rich background in marching band and drumline, her powerhouse sound earned her a record deal with Universal Production Music, where she composed, recorded, and produced "Epic Drumline Promos," a high energy album that merges the powerful rhythms of drumline with cutting edge sound design, crafted specifically for trailers, promos and sports content.
Amanda was previously a producer at renowned virtual instrument company, CineSamples, for which she traveled the world to capture the sound of authentic instruments. She was also a project manager at Hollywood Scoring, where she collaborated with a team of Emmy-winning producers and composers to provide music for feature films, video games, and live entertainment.
She has been a session percussionist for projects including LEO (Netflix), LEAGUE OF LEGENDS (Riot Games), and DRUMS OF WAR (CineSamples). She has performed as a percussionist at the Hollywood Bowl, Universal Orlando, Disney World, the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, Miss Florida Pageant, and multiple corporate entertainment venues. Before moving to LA, she traveled throughout the U.S. and internationally as a drumline clinician artist, sponsored by Pearl Drums, Vic Firth, and Zildjian. She was champion of the 2018 international "Hit Like A Girl" percussion contest and performed on snare at the 2019 PASIC international percussion convention in Indianapolis. She has released two self-published books on snare drum technique: “Rhythmic Muse” (2018) and “Foundation” (2020).
Before coming to Los Angeles, Amanda completed a bachelor's degree in Psychology at Western Carolina University, where she also taught, wrote, and directed drumline shows at the university's football games, in front of a weekly audience of 20,000+ cheering students. She also holds a master's degree in Project Management (New York University) as well as a master's degree in Music Composition (California State University). She resides in Tarzana and considers herself a coffee aficionado, constantly searching for the perfect home brewing techniques.
